Hi, my name is Lori K, and this is my website… A site dedicated to all the art I've created over the years, including new art created in the future... designed to bring joy and inspiration to all who visit here.
It's true! Aspie's see the world differently, and from that internal vision, we often express ourselves in unique ways... If you are wanting to see what my world looks like through my eyes (and heart), you've come to the right place.
Creating things that make people smile, albeit through the creations share freely; sharing random acts of kindness... finding joy through those expressions... that's what life is all about for me; it's these things that make my life worthwhile, never placing a set value to anyone, placing anyone (not even myself) in a box.. for we all matter and each of us are... priceless. This is the world I attempt to create when I design my art pieces, write poetry, work with energies; for (the purpose of) assisting others or bettering myself and my life... When I create, it gives me a space that is as simple and easy (but purposeful) as breathing; where I can just get lost and open my heart and mind to what just is at any given moment. No resistance, no worries, no fears, no pain... just a sense of warm peaceful belonging and sharing that inspiration with all who visit here. What comes from working in that space of creative bliss is what you will find here on this site.
21 years ago, I began my journey creating animated graphics on blingee.com and am now making new creations on picmix and there are many images I've designed that came from that experience, done on my computer via various art programs. Here you will find a culmination of those experiences compiled on this website and I invite all who enters to join me on this journey from past to present moment...
Through these times, my creative process has improved; I’ve met amazing people and formed awesome connections with both fellow creators and fans alike.
On this site, is a show of that journey, development and progress and I have yet to slow down. Nothing relaxes and balances me more than when I find myself in a state of creation. During these states, I become both student and teacher.
Creating is the way I communicate who and how I am, at any given moment. When someone observes my creation, it is like getting a front row seat into who I am; a reflection of how I think, feel and communicate. Having Aspergers, communication and social observances are not my strong points but as I write poetry and/or create imagery, that awkwardness falls away… It is said that a single image is worth a thousand words, and so it is through my image creations I find it easier to convey and articulate how I see the world and how the world within and around me has impacted me, leaving its imprint within these images, via every stamp and image layering that helped to shape each image has helped me to tell the story in a more concise but artistic way.
I hope you will join me on my journey, allowing me to share pieces of my heart and soul with you…
At some point in the very near future, I will be launching a forum where others can share pieces of them with the viewers also, in a community that supports each other, where each of us can take part in expressing the two sides of ourselves as student and teacher; where friendships can be formed and built upon through your own unique creative expressions. The forum is for all who wishes to share their voice and creative selves; for all those desiring to be heard and seen through your own unique ways. Once launched, the forum tab will be visible and accessible… The forum is free to join, but membership is required to post or comment. I hope you will join me there so our journey can blend and expand accordingly.
This site is dedicated to sharing my vision when I am in a state of creative flow of just creating imagery to share with others; in hopes to resonate, inspire and warm people's hearts through the visual creations posted here.
my inspired works can be funny, quirky, isolated, sad, uplifting, powerful, empowered, joyful, beautified... Through the years, I've run through a gambit of experiences and emotion that lent to each creation as it took place in that moment, a look into the soul that has brought me through and delivered me in the simplest act of emotive, personal, passionate creativity. Like with my poetry, imagery is how I express myself in the best context I know how and through this experience of creating, I have overcome the past, grown up, developing not just my skills at freely-express imagery and poems, but also developing into a better person as well... This is a journey that has been both life-changing and life-saving in many respects and I am thrilled to be able share the many facets of me with you through such imagery.
